When you're sad

Hey, it's me. I don't know exactly what's making today hard, but I know you don't have to carry it alone. Whatever it is, it doesn't change one single thing about how much I love you. Cry if you need to, be quiet if you need to — I'm not going anywhere. Text me when you're ready, or don't, I'll still be here waiting with the biggest hug for you.

When you're happy

I love this version of you the most — the one laughing so hard you can't breathe, the one who's excited about the smallest things. Whatever's making you smile right now, I hope it lasts all day. And if you get the urge to tell someone about it, tell me first. I want to know every good thing that happens to you.

When I'm angry

I might be upset right now, and I'm sorry if it made you feel small or unheard — that was never the plan. Give me a little time to breathe and think clearly, and I promise I'll come back calmer and kinder. My frustration is never bigger than how much I care about you. We're always going to be okay.

When you miss me

I miss you too, probably right now as you're reading this. Distance is annoying and time apart is never fun, but it doesn't shrink anything we have. Look up — we're under the same sky. I'm counting down to the next time I get to see your face for real.

No reason for this one — just wanted you to know that on a random Tuesday, in the middle of doing nothing important, I was thinking about you. You make ordinary days feel like something worth showing up for. That's all. I love you.
